Dark Argyle Outfit

Our Dark Argyle kilt outfit is a modern interpretation of the traditional Argyle Highland dress, designed to keep its smart, versatile character while updating the overall look and feel.

The outfit consists of the same items as our Contemporary Black Argyle kilt outfit but features black enamel buttons on the jacket and waistcoat instead of silver. The sporran, belt buckle and kilt pin are also finished in black enamel instead of silver.

It still features the classic Argyle jacket and waistcoat, but with a more tailored, streamlined fit and sometimes lighter fabrics for added comfort. The styling is cleaner and slightly less rigid, making it well suited to modern events where you want to look polished without being overly formal.

The contemporary version is worn with a Victorian shirt in black or white and Ruche Cravat as opposed to the more traditional bow tie.  The kilt remains the centrepiece, in a tartan of your choice, paired with a sporran, kilt hose, flashes, and Ghillie Brogues.

Overall, a Dark Argyle outfit offers the same dependable, smart appearance as the traditional Argyle style, but with subtle modern touches that make it feel fresh, comfortable, and adaptable for everything from weddings to less formal celebrations.
