Dark Prince Charlie Outfit

Our Dark Prince Charlie outfit outfit is a modern take on the classic Prince Charlie Highland dress, designed to keep the same formal elegance while introducing updated styling and a slightly more relaxed feel.

The outfit consists of the same items as our Contemporary Prince Charlie outfit but features dark enamel buttons on the jacket and waistcoat instead of silver. The sporran, belt buckle and kilt pin are also finished in dark enamel instead of silver.

It still centres around the iconic Prince Charlie jacket and waistcoat, but features a slimmer fit, lighter materials, and subtle design tweaks to give a sharper, more current silhouette.

Instead of strictly following traditional rules, the dark version allows for a bit more flexibility in how it’s styled. The outfit is worn with a Victorian shirt in black or white and a Ruche Cravat instead of the more traditional bow tie. The outfit is paired with a kilt in a chosen tartan, along with a sporran, kilt hose, flashes, and Ghillie Brogues.
